Drugs discovered in ‘suspicious’ van in late night police raid

Reports of a “suspicious van” near the entrance to a farm in Chalgrove led to a police raid at about 1am this morning, Friday, April 25. 

Thames Valley Police officers from the rural crime taskforce attended the scene, detained the occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman, and searched it.

During the search, cannabis was found and seized from the van. 

A spokesperson for the rural taskforce added: “Enquiries were completed and it was ascertained that there were no rural crimes taking place. 

“The male and female were dealt with for drug possession.”

The officers also made patrols of West Berkshire last night, seizing a scooter being driven uninsured in Amersham.
