“He was given fluids and is feeling much better. To ensure he has ample time to rehydrate and recover fully, we are working on rescheduling today’s shows and adjuting teh remainder of the cruise schedule accordingly.”
His PR team went on to thank fans for their concerns before reminding them to “drink your water.” His manager also said: “By medical rules of the cruise, he’ll be in quarantine for the next 24 hours to rest. Arrangements are being made for him to play on Saturday and Sunday.”
The Rock Legends Cruise runs until February 17 which promises a number of other performances by the band also lined up in March and April. Then he is set to hit the open road for nationwide tour with Styx and Kein Cronin at the beginning of May.
Don was the lead guitarist of the Eagles at the height of their fame between 974 and 2001. However, he later had a big fall out with co-lead singer and frontman Glenn Frey, which stained their successful time with the band.
It comes after guitarist Steuart Smith stepped down from the band due to health struggles last month. The touring member of the classic rock band shared a statement at the time explaining why he had to “bow out” of the group’s live shows.
According to Ultimate Classic Rock, his statement began: “It is with profound regret that, due to performance issues associated with my recently diagnosed Parkinsonism, I dinf that I must bow out of my role with the Eagles while I can still do so gracefuly.
“It’s been a great quarter of a century, and I had hoped to be able to finish out this year with the band, but I must now do what’s best for all concerned.”
