Liverpool transfer news as Dominik Szoboszlai stance on Al-Hilal move revealed
Dominik Szoboszlai is happy at Liverpool and has no desire to leave the club amid spurious links with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal.
It was claimed by Spanish outlet Fichajes, which is renowned for its outlandish transfer rumors, that Al-Hilal was in the market for a new star player following the recent departure of Brazil superstar Neymar. The report claimed that the Saudi Pro League outfit was preparing a $126 million offer for Szoboszlai, who cost the Reds $76 million just two years ago.
Szoboszlai, 24, quickly establishing himself as a regular starter after joining Liverpool, and he has added goals to his game in recent weeks, netting four times in his last eight appearances.

Anfield Watch reports that Al-Hilal will not be able to convince Szoboszlai to leave the club this summer, while Liverpool is also understandably keen to keep hold of the Hungary captain.
Meanwhile, it is being reported that Darwin Nunez was unhappy that Liverpool blocked a possible exit during the January transfer window. Nunez was the subject of interest from multiple Saudi Pro League clubs, with Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal both keen on the 25-year-old forward.
However, Arne Slot was unwilling to let Nunez leave midway through the season with the Reds in contention for a number of trophies, including the Premier League and the Champions League. Nunez moved to Liverpool in the summer of 2022 but has failed to hit the heights that he was expected to, and Liverpool could sell him in the summer transfer window, when the Reds expect there to continue to be a strong market for the Uruguayan.
Football Insider claims that Nunez was displeased that Liverpool stood in the way of a winter exit, with the Reds having refused to grant permission to him to discuss the terms of any possible move away.
Slot recently criticized Nunez’s work-rate. He said last month: “For the second time in a row I wasn’t happy with his work effort, against Wolves and against Villa. I can’t accept if a player doesn’t give everything. That is clear. I can accept it once, but twice was a bit too much. That’s why I addressed it.
“If you miss a chance, you need to be fighting for the team. I’m not saying he didn’t do that at all, but it wasn’t the usual Darwin, the one that is loved by the fans. That is mainly because he always works so hard.”
