Mark Consuelos Has Wardrobe Malfunction on Live TV: ‘Did Anybody Notice That?’

Mark Consuelos might want to check the mirror before going live on television from now on!

During the Wednesday, March 12 broadcast of Live With Kelly and Mark, Consuelos, 53, and Kelly Ripa, were surprised to discover that the zipper to his pants had been down while cameras were rolling. 

“We’ve got a huge show today, and I mean huge,” Ripa, 54, said with almost perfect comedic timing as the daytime talk show began. 

After she and her husband told viewers which special guests would be featured on Wednesday’s episode, Ripa teased “The moment you’ve been waiting for.”

No, it wasn’t a glimpse of the Riverdale actor’s goods, but rather the fan-favorite Stump Mark game.

After the game’s graphic played across the screen, the longtime couple could be heard having an interesting conversation.

“Wait, did anybody notice that?” a surprised Ripa asked her spouse and cohost.

Smiling, Consuelos shook his head and replied, “No.”

“You just noticed that?” she asked.

Consuelos then faced the camera to tell the audience, “My fly was down the whole time.”

After pushing past the fashion faux pas with a quick joke about Consuelos’ brother “getting me back” for calling his sibling an “overachiever” earlier in the show, the pair continued with Stump Mark. 

Ripa and Consuelos, who married in 1996 after meeting during a screen test for All My Children in 1995, recently discussed another awkward moment they had. 

During the March 11 episode of their show, Ripa recalled the time she unexpectedly ran into one of Consuelos’ former girlfriends in Florida.

“When you roll up to the drive-thru in Florida and the woman handing you your lunch says, ‘I used to date your husband,’ you don’t need to know anything else,” she laughed.  

And although Ripa and Consuelos may not be able to control embarrassing moments, at least they can control their comfort — especially when it comes to date nights!

For the 2025 Oscars, the couple looked chic in their formal attire on the red carpet, but told The Hollywood Reporter they had backup footwear for later.

“I have a pair of Uggs backstage,” Ripa said during an interview, as Consuelos admitted he had a “pair of sneakers backstage.” They even brought “candy” to snack on.

Ripa wore an orange Zuhair Murad chiffon draped gown that featured cutouts, while her husband kept it classic in a double-breasted tuxedo with a bowtie.
